Gamers have known of Kinect since November 2009: it has bbecame the first ever gaming controller that eliminated the need for a gamepad. Kinect was developed by Microsoft for Xbox 360. In 2013, this gaming motion sensor became the fastest sold consumer electronics device in the world.
But Kinect’s applications quickly surpassed gaming. Today, the Kinect technology is employed in life sciences, in athletic training, in scientific experiments, at various shows and expos. Kinect can also be used to create augmented reality.
